Dr. Royer graduated college from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Royer has been in practice since 1980. He has worked in emergency rooms and has owned his own medical practice and walk-in clinic in Michigan as well as Maine. As staff physician at SVHC, he will provide family medical treatment, osteopathic manipulative therapy, and is certified to perform DOT physicals.
Dr. Royer and his wife Vicki live in Lovell, Maine and have four grown children and several grand-children. Of their children, Anna was the only one interested in medicine as a career, and is currently a general surgeon in Lewiston.
Dr. Royer has many interests including reading, writing, welding, travel, gardening, and sports. Unfortunately he is left with little time to do many of these.
