The Behavioral Health Consultant works in our Integrated Primary Care program which supports the health connection between the mind and body. As a member of the medical team, the Behavioral Health Consultant provides lifestyle support and assistance to both Medical Providers and their patients. Jennifer received Master’s degrees in education and counseling from Boston University and Salem State College. She is a licensed counselor in Maine. She has extensive experience counseling adults, children, adolescents and families. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and sweet dog.
Behavioral Health Consultation is available to all patients at SVHC. A consultation is a brief visit of 15 minutes with Jenn before, during, or after the visit with your provider. The cost of the session is free on the same day as your provider appointment otherwise it is $3.00. There is flexibility with scheduling and same day appointments are available.
Jenn has specialized training in behavioral medicine and health in addition to her background in counseling and education. This work is different from traditional counseling/psychotherapy. Instead, Jenn is available to all our patients as needed, usually on the same day as your PCP visit. Often a few brief visits are enough to help you improve your health. If more mental health service is needed Jenn can help you find that.
As a member of your primary health care team, Jenn will have a close working relationship with you and your PCP to help address a variety of health issues such as:
